Alopecia is the medical term for hair loss.

Hair loss can occur naturally or it may be related to a disease or the use of certain medications.

Yes - hair can grow back - with time and proper treatment hair growth can return.

Effective treatment options do exist for alopecia.

Alopecia

Alopecia is a  common condition that causes hair to fall out in small round patches.
It is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system attacks the hair follicles leading to hair loss. The hair often comes out in clumps and the amount of hair loss is different for everyone.

Most traditional treatments involve the use of corticosteroids and creams that help suppress the immune system. However, most of them come with serious side effects and with only temporary hair growth.

Healthy hair growth requires a complex range of nutrients.  Hair growth is a "vitamin and mineral-dependent" process, and as such is often linked with nutritional deficiencies.

Iron deficiency anemia is a major cause of hair loss in women.

At HMC the goal of our treatment is to provide nutritional support for the proper functioning of the immune system as well as to stimulate hair growth by correcting any nutritional deficiencies.

Providing vital nutrients helps reset the misguided immune system as well as ensures that the follicles get all the requirements needed to achieve optimal growth.
